Requirements

How to prepare and use glitter vinyl:

• Place the vinyl into a plotter machine, such as a cricut or cameo, and set the force to 40 and the speed to 12 or 13.
• Once the design is cut, use transfer tape to apply it to the desired product.
• Use a heat blower or heat press for a few seconds to firmly fix the vinyl onto the product.
• If using glitter vinyl on a mug, heat the mug with a heat blower on medium settings and heat for 3 to 5 minutes after transferring the design.

How to print vinyl with a laser printer:

• Adjust the printer’s label printing settings to make them compatible with vinyl.
• Print the desired logo or image onto a vinyl sticker.
• Apply a protective adhesive film to cover the printed vinyl and keep it safe.
• Use a cutter plotter to trim the edges of the sticker around the logo, but leave the sticker intact.
• Place a silicone sheet or foil on the sticker, and run it through a thermal laminator set to a temperature of roughly 175-180 degrees.
• Once the lamination process is finished, gently remove the logo from the sticker, and the vinyl is ready to use.

How to print on vinyl surfaces with sublimation printers:

• Print the photo on thermal sublimation paper, such as Global Paper, using a Sawgres or Epson sublimation printer.
• Place plain white paper over the heat press to protect it.
• Place the printed sublimation paper on the vinyl and a silicone sheet on top inside the heat press.
• Set the temperature to 200 and the time to 60-80 seconds with medium piston pressure.
• When finished, remove the sublimation paper so that the image is printed on the vinyl.
• Paste the printed vinyl on the product, and insert it into the press again for 5 to 10 seconds to permanently fix it.

Tips when printing glitter vinyl:

• Setting glitter vinyl requires high temperatures and time, for example: The temperature of the heat press is 180 and the time is 50 seconds, strong pressure
• Remove the vinyl after it has completely cooled
• If the vinyl is removed and it did not come out completely, it can be put back again and inserted in the heat press again

Important tips when printing vinyl surfaces on a sublimation printer:

• Use lamination paper, such as the kind used for licenses and documents, for printing on matte vinyl. Use a laminator set to a temperature of 160-170 degrees.
• Gold, silver, opal, and hologram glitter vinyl do not require lamination paper.
• When using a heat press to fix vinyl onto plastic or acrylic surfaces like cards, the plastic may become tilted slightly. Place a heavy object on the surface to return it to its original form.
• When cutting thermal vinyl, invert the design beforehand.
